Feeding a Fledgling
Most of the time I’ve seen prey delivered to a fledgling Red-tailed Hawk it’s dropped off and the kid is left to sort it out. This was the first time I’d seen a parent feeding a young bird who had already fledged. It was a sweet moment.
How wonderful! It’s a ravenous youngster, isn’t it?!!! nice music as well! z

Thanks. I played the first piece on a Phonoharp, and the second is a kalimba-saxophone sketch I recorded years ago.

I really feel like I’m there with the redtails. Your music supports the experience and makes it multi-layered and even richer! Thanke you….and more, please.

where is the like button. we had for several years a pair of red tails rightoutside our door who produced two offspring to fledgling, one year only one, you couldn’t miss them the babies were so noisy always flying around my house calling out all day long. they would jump arond the tree near their nest until they could fly, I would watch them sometimes trying to get their balance and flapping their wings in practice. this year they didn’t breed here for some reason.
